Sir James Cropper KCVO
Sir James Cropper was born in 1938 and is the great great grandson of the founder. He was educated at Eton and Cambridge University graduating with a degree in Law and trained as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in Newcastle. He joined the Company in 1966, the Board in 1967 and became Chairman in 1971. He retired as Chief Executive in December 2000 and as Chairman in July 2010 and from the Board in July 2013 at which date he took up the title of Honorary President. He was Lord Lieutenant of Cumbria from 1994 until 2012 and was appointed Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order in 2011.
M A J Cropper, MA
Mark was born in 1974. He joined the Board in 2006 and became Deputy Chairman in 2008 and then Chairman in July 2010. He is the sixth generation of the Cropper family to be involved in the business. He wrote the company's history, "The Leaves We Write On", which was published in 2004.
Mark is managing director of Ellergreen Hydro Ltd, a developer of hydro-electric schemes, and a partner in Turquoise Capital LLP.

Isabelle was born in 1968. She was educated in Manchester and at the University of Central Lancashire, graduating with a degree in French and Psychology. She trained and qualified as a Management Accountant and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. She joined the Company in 2006 as Group Financial Controller, was appointed Head of Finance in 2013 and appointed Group Finance Director in 2014. Prior to joining the Company Isabelle's previous roles included UK Finance Controller at a publishing house, CGP Ltd, and Finance Manager for Haden Building Management Ltd.

Martin was born in 1959. He studied Chemistry at University in Aberdeen and received an MBA from Napier University in Edinburgh. Prior to joining James Cropper, Martin held a variety of roles within Arjowiggins, BASF and Inveresk, covering Technical Management, Business Systems Management, Operations Management, Managing Director and Divisional Managing Director. He joined the Company in 2003 as General Manager of James Cropper Converting Limited and was appointed Managing Director in 2007, until he was appointed Managing Director of Technical Fibre Products Limited in 2013. He is also Executive Chairman of Tech Fibers Inc, Technical Fibre Products Inc, Electro Fiber Technologies llc and Metal Coated Fibers Inc.

Steve was born in 1964. He was educated at Kent College Canterbury, De Montfort University Leicester and London Business School. Prior to joining James Cropper, Steve spent 30 years with 3M Company in various commercial roles both in the UK and Europe covering display, traffic & vehicle safety, telecommunication, electronics and energy markets, leaving as UK and Ireland Business Director for the Electronics & Energy Business Group. He joined the Company as Managing Director for the Paper Division in 2017.
D R Wilks, LLB (Hons)
David was born in 1954. He joined the Board in April 2004. He is a Director of Wilks & Partners, the management consultancy he founded in 2001. Prior to this, he had extensive manufacturing operations experience with H. J. Heinz and United Biscuits and was a Director of ER Consultants.
J E Sharp, MA
Jim was born in 1967. He joined the Board in 2009. He is a Partner of Sirius Equity LLP, an investment firm which specialises in the retail and luxury goods sectors, whose investments include L K Bennett and feelunique.com. He is also a non-executive director of The Brunner Investment Trust Plc.

Andrew was born in 1965. He joined the Board on 1 August 2018. Following a PhD in Materials Technology, Andrew pursued a career in industry culminating in his appointment as CEO of Morgan Ceramics and COO of Morgan Advanced Materials Plc. Most recently he was founding CEO of the Sir Henry Royce Institute for Advanced Materials. He is the nonoexecutive chairman of mOm Incubators Ltd and a non-executive director of RHI Magnesita Plc, Rights and Issues Investment Trust Plc and Consort Medical Plc.
J F Aldridge, FCA
Jim joined the Group as Finance Manager for Technical Fibre Products Limited in 2006. He was appointed Head of Corporate Finance in 2013 and was appointed as Company Secretary in 2015. Jim is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
