James Cropper plc appoint new Commercial Director

I am delighted to share with you that Chris Brown will be joining James Cropper in the position of Commercial Director and a member of our Executive Team with effect from Monday 31 March 2014.

In this role Chris will be responsible for all commercial activities across the James Cropper Speciality Papers and Converting divisions.

Chris’ appointment follows the announcement that Nigel Read, Sales & Marketing Director for Speciality Papers, will retire in May 2014 after 33 years of service, and Martin Thompson’s move last year from Managing Director for Converting to Technical Fibre Products. These events provided an opportunity to have one commercial leader across both paper divisions of James Cropper.

Chris brings with him substantial customer facing paper market experience, having spent the last 12 years with Favini in senior regional and global commercial roles. Prior to this he was with Arjo Wiggins for 12 years in a variety of sales and marketing roles.

There are no further planned personnel changes within the Speciality Papers and Converting commercial teams, allowing our existing relationships to be maintained.

I know Chris is highly energised and excited about his new role with James Cropper and he is keen to start working closely with you to support your needs going forward.
